Devany’s vision at Illumine Within is to create a world where authenticity, empathy and embodied healing are accessible to all. She believes in the sacredness of our collective human experience and is dedicated to helping others discover their own paths to healing and spiritual fulfillment.

As someone raised with roots in the Christian and mystical contemplative tradition, a student of decolonial work, and a little girl who felt the magic when we sing and dance together, I’ve remembered that the mystery of Love’s unfolding is innately connected to turning toward ourselves - and one another - with awe, and surrendering to Love as our shared path to healing.
Our true power lies in remembering who we’ve always been - one great body, connected to each other, to the land, and to God.
My journey has been one of returning home—softened, heartbroken, and gently guided back to my sacred center. This is what I hope to offer you. Through the guidance of loved ones, the unraveling of motherhood, the wisdom of teachers, and the mystery of my own questions during long periods of silence, I’ve rediscovered that silence is the language of God—the space the soul needs to speak. Love multiplies forward, and this space is here to help you discover your own path, just as I have been supported. Spiritual Direction, Somatic support, and contemplative practice have been the foundation of my journey, and they are what I offer you.

Devany collaborates with Collective Certeza, a community of coaches dedicated to holistic well-being. This collective approach ensures clients receive comprehensive support, drawing on a wide range of expertise and resources to foster healing and growth.

Devany is a multi-faceted guide and healer. Her training spans a background in trauma-informed somatic coaching, spiritual direction and Yoga.

Two-year apprenticeship under Tara Owens at Anam Cara Ministries, specializing in slow, contemplative listening rooted in the Celtic Christian tradition of soul friendship. This lineage emphasizes the inherent dignity of each person as bearers of the Divine image, encourages exploration and wrestling with questions, and highlights the transformative power of relationships with self, God, community, and nature.

The path is created by those who come before us. Role of the teacher is integral in the spiritual journey. Spiritual traditions have been preserved through the path of the teacher by sharing teachings through the generations. My teachers are the guiding light to my own path and practice, and have a depth of knowledge to share an offer you. I want to acknowledge them in deep gratitude.
